Most seniors in high school spend the majority of their free time worrying about graduation, college applications or their life after graduation. However, senior Brady Finn spends his free time creating his own clothing brand: BGO Gear. Making a name for himself, Finn has already made “about 50 sales so far.”
What started as an idea between Finn and his stepfather “quickly expanded and grew to a bigger idea and turned into a reality,” Finn said. Finn and his stepfather worked vigorously for months together just to make the first design. Without any external help, Finn and his stepfather worked on it by themselves.
“It took a while to figure out how to make the design and what brand would be right for the design,” Finn said.
After high school, Finn plans on attending Auburn University, majoring in Building Science. With good time management and dedication, Finn plans on continuing BGO Gear. It takes months of hard work to come up with a design, but he plans on working through it with his stepfather and creating more designs, pushing their work on social media, making orders and making people happy.
What started on a whim grew to become a well-known business, created from scratch by just two people with aspirations. BGO Gear is more than just a clothing brand; Finn’s story exemplifies the idea that you can do anything you want with enough passion. Chase your dreams, because they are not going to chase you.
