Culinary Arts 1 is a class filled with smells and experiences bound to make anyone have a shot of adrenaline. In Culinary Arts 1, new students are not only learning how to cook in the kitchen but also mastering how to work under pressure, trust their gut and create masterpieces.
The initial goal of Culinary Arts is to teach students confidence and discipline in the kitchen.
“It’s about the effort and the teamwork put into it,” eighth grader Kennedi Sloan said.
It is more than the food that makes the meal. It is about the time and effort put into it, creating a fulfilling experience for Culinary Arts students.
“If I had a chance to do Culinary again, I would. It was an awesome experience,” freshman Sanaa Harris said.
Not only do students learn how to cook, but they also apply what they learned to the real world.
“I used the recipes I learned in Culinary to make dinner for my family,” freshman Londyn McSwain said.
Culinary will always have a special place not only in our hearts but at our school. The time, effort and determination put in by students in the culinary classes bring joy and mouth-watering scents to campus.
