Just a couple of years ago, these alumni were walking the halls, stressing about tests and worrying about turning in their homework on time. Now, they are making strides, contributing to their community, and excelling on their journey into adulthood. Everyone has to go through the high school experience, but how you interpret it is up to you. High school does not have to be stressful; it can be a place to build character, broaden your perspective, and experience cultures different from your own.
“[One of my funniest experiences] would be when I tried opening the locker room door, and the handle came off during volleyball practice,” Class of 2025 alumnus Zay Lee said.
Being an alum of the Florida High community is an honor.
“Have fun and don’t stress, but stay on your game. Don’t give up on yourself or what you want, still go after it,” Lee said.
Graduation marks a transition where some alumni have clear plans, while others navigate uncertainty about their next steps. One such Class of 2025 graduate is Maurice Adams Jr., who is now playing Division II football at Ferris State University, proof that just walking these halls can lead to big accomplishments.
Math teacher Neal Bunker is also a Florida High alumnus who now teaches future Seminole graduates, further showing how the Florida High community continues to give back to itself.
