In every team, there will always be one who leads by example, and in the Florida High varsity baseball team, that leader is Nick Steibly. By working hard and being an outstanding performer on the field, Steibly has established himself as a key factor in the success of the team this season.

     Steibly is a senior and has proved himself to be an excellent pitcher and outfielder, and, according to him, the team has done well throughout the season thus far, winning some important games and getting better with each one due to tough competition. 

     Much of Steiby’s success can be attributed to how much effort he puts into his game, whether it’s in practices or even outside of practices. His consistency has helped him maintain his solid numbers, all because he remains consistent and focuses on the fundamentals of his game.

     “I try to just trust the work I put in,” Steibly said. 

     Apart from his own performance, Steibly equally recognizes his importance as a team player and a leader on the field. He enters each match or training session with the idea of competition and puts in his best while helping others do the same. He emphasizes that the harmony in the team is what makes it strongest, because everybody plays for everybody and wants to win. Such an approach on his part as a leader has earned him the respect of the coaches and fellow players.

     As the postseason draws near, Steibly is not letting up on his driving force as he continues to motivate his teammates and demonstrate that he is not only an elite player but an impact maker each time he steps onto the field.
