Olivia Woods, junior, Varsity Volleyball, setter
Committed to Kennesaw State University
Why Woods committed to Kennesaw State: “Both of my parents went there, and I really like the environment. I like the coaching staff; they’re really nice. All the players are really inclusive. I feel like they’re already my friends even though I don’t know them, and the team is really good and has a high skill level.”
What Woods looks forward to for her last two years at Florida High: “I already have all of my [required] classes out of the way, so honestly, just having fun, getting my GPA up and starting my college classes.”

Committed to Mercer University
Why Johnson committed to Mercer: “I thought the coach was very nice, I like the campus, and it’s close enough to home, but also far enough away from home.”
One Memory Johnson has from playing golf: “My two hole-in-ones from this year. They were both in a tournament, and both using my pitch wedge.”

Cannon Cowhey, senior, Varsity Football, quarterback
Committed to the University of West Florida
Why Cowhey committed to West Florida: “During my summer camp schedule, UWF offered me a scholarship, and after spending time with the coaches and the players, I knew it was the right fit. I went to other schools that invited me to camps, but none of them felt like home. What stood out at UWF was the connection I had with the Head Coach Kaleb Nobles, and Quarterback Coach Jake Lange. Both coaches played quarterback in college, so they really understand what it takes to play the position at the next level. I felt like they believed in me.”
Cowhey’s favorite memory: “My favorite memory has to be dressing as a freshman for the state finals. It motivated me to work even harder. I knew then that I wanted to come back one day and help lead our team to that level again.”
